Food Gatherers
Food Gatherers is the food bank and food rescue program for Washtenaw County, dedicated to alleviating hunger and preventing food waste. Based at 1 Carrot Way in Ann Arbor, the organization collects surplus food from local businesses, farms, and grocery stores. This rescued food is then distributed through a network of more than 170 partner agencies, including pantries, shelters, and meal programs, serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Ann Arbor area and beyond. Community members can support Food Gatherers by donating food or funds, or by volunteering their time to help sort and distribute provisions, directly contributing to local hunger relief efforts.
